Pastor Jequan Curry is a man of many talents and a deep faith. Born on January 21st, 1994, to Paul and Alicia Curry Jr., Jequan was the second of five children. Even from a young age, something special about him shone through.

Jequan's exceptional intelligence blossomed early on. At the age of six, his father recognized his musical talent and bought a baby grand piano. This sparked a lifelong passion for music that would become a cornerstone of Pastor Jequan's life. His gift for music led him to play at churches across the region.

 

Church was a central part of Jequan's life. Every Sunday morning, you could find him on the third row, enthusiastically worshipping alongside his brother Paul(boss). Even as a young boy, Jequan felt a calling to preach. He would often shout out, "Preach Bishop Ringer!" during services.

 

One day, Bishop E. Ringer recognized Jequan's special qualities. He called him down in front of the church, stood him on the communion table, and declared that Jequan would be "something special in Christ." This moment solidified Jequan's belief in his calling to preach.

 

Jequan's preaching wasn't limited to the church walls. Even at the age of four, he could be found outside preaching to neighbors, birds, and even trash cans. His passion was so inspiring that it even led a neighbor to give up smoking cigarettes!

 

At the age of nine, Bishop Alfred Ringer presented Jequan with his first preaching robe. Jequan's talents extended beyond the pulpit. He also possessed a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a gift for IT. This led him to establish several businesses, including Axesscity, Trendset Advertising, and The Functioning Father Association, a program focused on fatherhood advocacy. Jequan carried his calling to serve throughout his school years. 

 

In 2012, he married his beautiful wife, Lady Ciearra Curry. And has one child Aiden Curry

 

In 2019, after delivering a powerful sermon at a program organized by the church's usher board, Bishop E. Ringer licensed Jequan as a minister. Pastor Jequan has faithfully served in various capacities throughout the years, including the Youth Usher board, Musical staff, choir member, audio and media team, and pastor armorbearer.

 

His dedication and leadership qualities were recognized in 2022 when he became the interim pastor of New Life Apostolic Church. He continues to serve as the Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Pastor Dorothy Curry.

 

In 2023, Pastor Jequan answered a new calling to establish True Rest Apostolic Church. The church's membership has grown remarkably in just three months, reaching shy of  60 members. The church's success necessitated a move to a larger location in Vandalia, Ohio.

 

Pastor Jequan Curry's story is a testament to his faith, dedication, and multifaceted talents. He serves as an inspiration to his congregation and his community.
